All events are held in the Louise Shonk Kelly Recital Hall on the campus of Dublin School in Dublin, New Hampshire and begin at 7:30 p.m., unless otherwise noted. All events are free of charge and open to the public.

Phyllis Chen
Concert of works from a composer and pianist specializing in music written for toy piano. Program to include works by Cage, Crumb, Cowell, Lucier as well as by Ms. Chen herself.

The Royal Roses are a New Orleans-based jazz band, led by vocalist and saxophonist Aurora Nealand, a former Young Musicians Program Faculty member and Teacher Training Institute alumna

Faculty Commissioning Concert
Members of Dal Niente Ensemble, a Chicago-based contemporary music ensemble
featuring Walden Teacher Training Institute alumnus Chris Wild, will perform 8 world-premiere works by Young Musicians Program faculty members Alex Christie, Rebekah Griffin Greene, Marguerite Ladd, Sky Macklay, Emil Margolis, Ian Munro, Osnat Netzer, and Sam Pluta. This is the 13th Faculty Commissioning Project that The Walden School has sponsored.

Walden’s “house band” of exceptional performers bring a wonderful concert of contemporary concert music to life to kick off Festival Week. This year’s Players are Jane Cords O’Hara, cello; Jane Chung, violin; Russell Greenberg, percussion; Tawnya Popoff, viola; Jessi Rosinski, flutes; Christa Van Alstine, clarinets; and Aaron Wunsch, piano.
