Celebration in Dublin to benefit Walden

 

The Walden’s School’s 47th season has begun! To celebrate our outstanding music programs and raise funds to support our participants, Walden is hosting a reception and concert in Dublin, New Hampshire, at the end of our Young Musicians Program Festival Week.

The celebration will feature a performance by violinist Violaine Melançon. Join us for an afternoon of music, delicious bites, and wonderful Walden community. Performance to begin at 2:30pm.

Gifts for the evening will benefit Walden’s Annual Fund, supporting student scholarships and artist residency programs. While there is no charge to attend the event, contributions to support Walden’s award-winning programs may be made online at www.waldenschool.org/donate or at the event.

When: Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 2pm-4pm (Performance to begin at 2:30pm)

About Violaine

An artist deeply dedicated to the range of violin and chamber music repertoire, violinist Violaine Melançon is Associate Professor of Violin at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University, and serves on the violin and chamber music faculties of the Peabody Conservatory. She was for thirty years the founding violinist of the Peabody Trio which was ensemble-in-residence at the Peabody Conservatory from 1987 to 2016, and at The Walden School from 1990-1997.
