Walden Benefit in San Francisco

The Walden School’s 47th season is just around the corner! To celebrate our outstanding music programs and raise funds to support our participants, Walden is hosting a reception and concert in San Francisco, featuring a performance by cellist Dave Eggar. Join us for an afternoon of music and friendship, with refreshments and wonderful Walden community.

When: Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 4-6pm (Performance to begin at 4:30pm)

About Dave Eggar

Dave Eggar is regarded as one of the finest cellists performing today.  A musical prodigy as a child, Dave began playing the cello and piano at age three, performed on Broadway and with the Metropolitan Opera at age seven, and debuted at Carnegie Hall at age 15. A virtuoso performer and improviser of many styles, Dave has appeared worldwide as a cellist and pianist, both as a soloist and as an ensemble musician. His work is Grammy-nominated, and he has performed, recorded, and arranged with and for artists in many genres, including Tony Bennett, Beyoncé, Harry Belafonte, Bon Jovi, Coldplay, Evanescence, Foreigner, Imagine Dragons, Talib Kweli, John Legend, Wynton Marsalis, Frank Ocean, Robert Redford, Pete Seeger, Paul Simon, Patti Smith, Esperanza Spalding, Meryl Streep, James Taylor, The Manhattan Transfer, and Amy Winehouse, among many others. He has been a Fellow at the MacDowell Colony. He has been a visiting artist at The Walden School, was a member of The Walden School Players for two summers, and performs frequently at regional Walden events throughout the United States.
